History​

Frome Police Station was opened in April 1954. During its time, the site was expanded to include a magistrates' court, conference rooms and more offices. In 2011 it was decided that the station on Oakfield road would close and a new, smaller premises elsewhere in Frome would be opened. Since closing the site has been sold for a new housing development to be built and is currently being used for the Ad-Hoc housing scheme.
