Tame by most standards, but I have a real interest to old military installations, very few that you can get into these days but even little gems like these draw me in.

Scremerston Gun emplacement, Northumberland

Eastern state is such a fun site. Around halloweentime they do a haunted house attraction. I went as a kid and if you wear a glow stick necklace they are allowed to physically touch you/move you - I got thrown into a cell once :D

Can highly recommend it as well if anyone is in Philly for any length of time and can dodge being shot.

Best time to go is early on a preferably rainy weekday morning, I did and had basically the entire place to myself all morning.

Another legal/permission visit nearby was cresson sanatorium - Home. As far as I could tell from the website and urbex postings they basically gave you free reign to photograph. Unfortunately was shut down before I had a chance to visit, but they seem to be fighting to reopen?

Yeah I know some of the people who were involved with that, unfortunately things got very messy with the owners from what I heard so they had to stop the tours sadly.
