OT and I were actually looking for a colliery, but we stumbled across this small ironstone mine, so had a quick mooch. One thing that struck me was how very small the mine was, working down there every day must have been hell on earth! It went at a fairly steep gradient for 100 meters or so with a chamber at the bottom, a nice little mine.
