London Spaces for Sound Performance

Hi all,

I'm looking for an abandoned space in London that would be suitable for a very low-key performance event. When I say low-key, I mean maybe like 20 people. Very little sound (experimental performance kinda stuff) and respectful attendees.

Where in London isn't too much of an issue. Accessibility is a minor concern but climbing should be okay.

Any suggestions of spaces would be very very welcomed

You’ll find plenty of spots through the search bar (search for areas such as “Croydon” rather than London). Most sites will have decent security in London though meaning you’d be quickly caught if you try to perform.

I’d recommend a subterranean site such as one of the many deep level shelters dotted around London although as far as I know access isn’t the easiest at the moment (but still doable). Or you have Brighton Road deep level shelter in coulsdon which is a bit further out from the city but has easy access.

Yeah you're right, I haven't done enough searching on 28days. I'll do more

Brighton Road Air Raid Shelter is a good idea! Thanks. I need easy/no security really which is the particular challenge in London.

Anyone know of little/no security places inner city?

No that doesn't exist, think about that question for a second and think about where the money is in the uk and how valuable infrastructure and land is there. Good luck you'll need it even if you think you find somewhere.

Forgot to mention though, if your willing to leave London you'll find exactly what you need.

Thanks for your thoughts. I’d say it depends how grand the space is. I’ve found a few building sites that have no security in London so I know there’s stuff out there.

I was hoping this thread would possibly open up more ideas of places in London.

I know a few great mines out of the city that’d be great but they’d be too far away for this project
