Many thanks to HappyShopper and TrankmasT for the location details.
Visited with Dragonflame and my Dad, on a round trip of 4 sites in total. We started off with Long Marston airfield because I wanted them to see the Shackleton, and what's left of it but since I'd already been last year I didn't take any pics. Bumped into the farmer before he went off in his tractor, was a really nice guy but a shame we didn't manage to hear any of his stories!
The owner is a hobbyist and simply collected these over a period of years, but hasn't really had the time or perhaps money to do anything with them. As mentioned before, it was a case of buy them and save them or leave them and scrap them. Fair play.
Enjoy,
TBM
