Tipping the cops off is a good move, publicizing it on the internet then worrying about them finding you, probably not a great idea.

if somebody came across a well established canabis plantation, that's worth a fortune
& met the owners they would likely murder them as it would be too risky to let them leave with wha they've witnessed.

It could have ended badly but it didn’t just don’t go exploring alone again without knowing background on the place :-)

You absolutely did the right thing in reporting it. If you are worried about your safety perhaps talk to them police again and see if they can give you any updates/advice xx
