Lead or Rumour info - Sheffield - Spartan Works Redevelopment

Walking along the canal recently, I saw that the old Spartan works and surrounding land is getting redeveloped. After looking further into it, seems it's all going to be housing. But it's not only the Spartan works that's going, looks like Le Chambre and other abandoned buildings on the same block are all set to be refurbished.
A lot of old locations will soon be gone and while it's nice that some buildings will be saved, it's still a little sad knowing we wont be able to visit these places anymore.
I'm sure some of you local will already know about all of this, but I thought I'd share the info and maybe motivate anyone that's been putting off any of these places to go take a look before it's too late.
Depending on how much effort you want to put in, you can currently access pretty much everything

A fair few buildings in Sheff are going if I remember right, cannon brewery had the green light back in july(?) for redevelopment too along with the A&E warehouse behind it
A shame really as it’s a good couple locations all getting done up

I'll believe it when I see it in regards to Cannon. The exact same was supposed to happen to Record Ridgeway years ago yet it's still sat there.

To be fair on my visit there were a lot of construction workers around but it could’ve been for the buildings next to it, hopefully im getting there at the end of the year so we’ll see how it is

canon is being done, literally week after 28 meet were in there new cameras went up. the gates have been removed (they have been saved I believe) & bigger gates fitted & secca stationed in there with site compound set up.

Also is Spartan NP or is it in use still? It looks interesting but I can’t find anything online about it

Thanks, I had my eye on it last few time I've been up but not been to Sheff since the summer. It looked like it would be a very 'Sheffield' explore. Im sure the locals can get a report up soon?

I heard about Cannon, but hadn't been up that way to see for myself. I guess the time has finally come for that one..
As for Spartan, all the road facing buildings are no longer in use. The hangars behind Buzz Stop have already mostly been cleared out as they begin deconstructing everything.
Can't say for Le Chambre and the buildings along side it, but they were all still open the last I saw.
I explored the whole thing the other night, can try and get a few photos up for those curious. But I'm sure someone else could create a much better report.
