Singledge Water Tower

Really struggling to find much about this place other than it was built around 1906 & went up for sale in 2018 with planning for residential development.

A friendly local told me the roof had come off the tower just a month before my visit in a storm, lucky that didnt land on anyone I guess.
I actually really enjoyed my mooch round here with my son while on hol last year.

That's lovely, I do have a thing for a good water tower. It reminds me somewhat of one of the water tower at Shotley Gate on the old HMS Ganges site.

Nice, is that up the internal "steps"? i did consider it but thought it a bit daft.
As mentioned 70% of the roof blown off just before my visit so if the floor is timber it will be proper fkd now.

Could still make a nice house though, not sure if it sold.

The internal steps only get you up to the base of the tank, we got a table, a scaffolding ladder and climbed up what's left of the original ladder. I wouldn't do it these days tbf πŸ˜‚
