Continuing the theme of reports from various members of this now sadly redundant 
but in no uncertain terms....Epic Industrial site that just keeps giving 
Obviously this one concerns the on-site Power Station, which was powered ironically by using the by-products from the nearby Blast Furnace & Coke ovens, which in turn provided power for the site itself. Consisting of 3 Boilers & 6 Turbines of varying age & design ( I"ve not found much online TBH )
Visited with @Razafter a last minute decision to either :-
A. Go outside & make a Snowman
B. Get Pissed in Pontefract
Or
C. Spend his Birthday with an old bloke running round SSI Redcar playing hide & seek with Secca & trying to find the Control Room they"d missed hours earlier.
Luckily for him it was C.
even though he"d visited less than 24hrs earlier 
young-uns full of energy....i imagine
So thanks for that mate & fun times were had along the way , even if you did repeatedly burn my Retinas out with that bloody Torch
Sorry it"s pic heavy but i think the site deserves it ....enjoy the randomness of hopefully some different views previously seen. It

Edit .....FYI The Cameras covering the Turbine Hall and other places are indeed working as can be seen behind us on the monitors, so if anyone"s watching TV when you visit And going off the newspapers in the rubbish bin they were in a few days ago !
