Good morning all. I'm into my local history in Wigan and St Helens. There's a Pub in Billinge called 'The Stork' which has been shut for a while now. I've come across numerous pieces of evidence that suggests there is an entrance within and below the Pub that leads to many tunnels. Im not an Urban Explorer myself but I'm sure it will be of interest to someone on here. I'm not sure how you would gain access to the Pub. It would be really interesting if someone could explore here.
Apparently the tunnels lead to a church, another pub, Crank Caverns and Billinge Hill, maybe other places.

A post on here Report - Crank caverns, Crank, mersyside, may 4th 2013

There is rumours of tunnels in just about every town across the country.
Not saying this has to be false but could we see this evidence of them?

No evidence from me but there should be cells down there too, which may then lead to other tunnels etc. I doubt they'd go to crank caverns though most of that is sealed off inside these days, but you never know...

I've also heard the rumours of the old cells and tunnels under the stork. Its very local to me and I've always fancied a look and check it all the time for access. It's always been well sealed and steel boarded though. Doubt they connect to crank if they exist, there are so many legends about crank but crank itself is pretty crap when you explore it. Hardly anything there and the underground is tiny.
