As this has been reported on and visited to the grave, I won't bore you with a repeat of the history of this place but it was a site I'd been meaning to visit for ages now and I wasn't disappointed. I was going to wait until I'd edited the images before uploading them but it's been 3 weeks since I went and I still haven't gotten round to most of them, so sod it.
Industrial sites are nearly always my favourite to explore and this big orange giant kept on giving. The control room was easily my biggest highlight, not just for the abused 'Ground control to Major Tom' control panel itself but for the cranes visible dangling 40 feet below in a big-ass scary pit. Looks like somewhere they could have filmed Terminator.
Though held up pretty much by wooden beams, the staircase was also an unusual gem and I fully intend to go back one day to take this same shot but with 'infected' running up the stairs.
