Yeah it's a nice one that. That view down Portland Street is belter. Good to see people out in Manc cause it's a great city to sit on top of. The best in my opinion.

That reminds me, we got back on top of Chatsworth House the other day - pretty good views for such a small building (compared to some of the others haha)

Yes lad!! That is a top roof! Glad to know it's open again. Proximity to Pic Gardens and the fact that there's not much that's higher looking out over the Northern Quarter means you can see all the way to the Etihad.

It was awesome! Such a good day for it too, clear skies all round - could see for miles. Made up for a few failures beforehand.

A few pics from Kensington Odeon back in November 2015. Only managed to access a tiny portion of the building unfortunately, not really report worthy considering the size of the place (largest auditorium in the country or something like that). The room with the drawings was cool though and we found the back of what was presumably once a stage in years gone by.

Yeah still there but just a construction site now really. The little bit we got into wasn't connected to the main part of the building, that was proper sealed up every night with security inside. Found out about it too late unfortunately, some campaigner got in when it first closed so they made a point of stopping others.

I will have access to the old dolphin hotel cleethorpes soon.
Its all empty and hasnt been used as a hotel in years! It will be my first shoot and will prob borrow a camera as I dont have one :'( but I plan on touring upstairs. Downstairs is a nightclub atm I work there but my manager is willing to let me go see it all on a non working day !! And I have not seen it on here yet.
So I thought id sign up.

Was having a little walk around Severalls the other day to see if there were any interesting bits of the main hall left in the rubble when I noticed what I immediately knew was the projector holes in the East side of the remaining walls. Intrigued, I took a look. What was immediately odd was how low the holes are in the wall but I did realize I was standing on a few feet of rubble!

The next thought was to check the corridor immediately behind the wall, back when Severalls was built in 1910, cinematography and projectors weren't quite a must have for Asylums and were still being developed for cinemas in the high street. The original hall was (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong) built without a projector room and during the 1930's/40's when films were becoming a lot more popular, a small extension was added to the east side of the hall to fit a small projector for movies. But because most roofs were tiled and not flat, some adaptation was needed and I was hoping this would've been visible inside the corridor, in fact it was.

After a bit of confusion I assumed if anything was left it would be accessible from the second floor, I first went into the next easterly courtyard to see what was left. Bingo!

Boo, no projectors, however a closer look still unearthed some interesting features.

Fantastic lighting and unlike anything else found around the rest of the hospital, all intact which shows just how much it's tucked away, or not?

1976, 40 years old.

There was also this little side room.

Interesting desk with old school back lighting, as I understand, it was to help process and fit the film used in the projectors?

If you're looking out for it, you can definitely see the difference in architecture. They still did a good job and at the end of the day it was a functional extension, not an aesthetic one.

Has been seen before I'm sure but here's a little look in detail as it's quite an interesting little section and something I didn't know was still there! Not worth a report obviously but here's a few pics and a little write up. Thanks for looking.​
