This is my first post everybody so bare with me, any feedback is more than welcome.
The history -
The history has been done various times so I’ll keep it short.
The original hospital in the area was established at Etruria in 1804 but was completely rebuilt on a much larger basis in 1814. The hospital then relocated to Hartshill as the North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary in 1869. It became the North Staffordshire Infirmary and Eye Hospital in 1890 and the North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary in 1925.
The facility joined the National Health Service in 1948 and, after services were transferred to the Royal Stoke University Hospital, it closed in December 2012.
The explore -
The explore was without doubt the most stealthy ones I’ve done and my first with active security. Took a good hour and few tries to scout out the site and find an access point. Once inside we were in for around two hours looking through various rooms and wards and bumped in to nobody. We did see 3-4 secuiry whilst on site under cover and as we left we also saw them. We kept tourches down as most windows aren’t borded up. This was my best explore yet, there’s some equipment left wnd just the right amount of decay / eeriness. Although we made it through many of the wards we never made it to the operating rooms and at 1AM called it a night.
I tried to revisit again (14th Jan) and my last access point has been locked. Any indications for entry points via direct message would be appreciated, however I understand the nature of the site and that you should be finding these things out for yourself. Enjoy the pictures.
