Report - North Staffordshire Royal Infirmary, Stoke on Trent - April 2019

Hello readers, hope you’re all having a lovely Easter break.

We finally got into the lovely North Stafford's royal infirmary. It was such a beautiful experience to have got inside the walls of this chunk of gold in the urbex community. Many try, very few succeed as there is a very dedicated team of security guards keeping watch of this place 7 days a week. I believe it shut it’s doors in late 2012, which it still is in pretty decent condition. We spent a good 7 and a half hours in here and to tell the truth, it was intimidating for me as I have a fear / phobia of hospitals, especially things to do with surgery as I’m also scared of that, fortunately it hasn’t happened to me just yet. At the same time, it was an unreal experience which was too amazing to put into words.

It’s very disappointing that we didn’t find the morgue, we know which building it is, but we could not find anywhere that leads to the basement. I am aware there are people who know and have gotten in there. I am seeking help. If anyone knows how to, please let us know!

Fair play for getting it done, seems you managed to cover most of it and gotten some decent photos too. The morgue has been completely stripped out now, as far as I'm aware they are intending on levelling that part of the site to open up more car parking space.

Perhaps a few too many "crew shots" in your report, and also most people don't really recommend stating the exact date of your visit.

You may want to be careful about posting this place in public, particularly when you have the exact date in the title as the NHS are all over this place. ASBO's have been handed out and one unlucky explorer had the police turn up at his place of work.

Well isn’t “trespassing” a civil law?

Yes but criminal damage isn't which is what they will almost certainly try and get you for. They might even have one of those special orders that turns tresspass into a criminal charge on the site grounds.

Your statement is very accurate mate, that could very well be the case, I know a few locations where it’s now a criminal offence to even step foot in the grounds, let alone going inside..be careful with this locations, they may not seem on the ball onsite but I really think they just let people wonder..get faces all over CCTV then come after you once it’s too late..

They can try and pin criminal damage on you all they like, but unless they have any concrete evidence against you then I don’t see why you wouldn’t just close the door on them. There’s no way they’d ever secure a conviction (or even attempt to) if the only evidence they have is ‘you’ve been on site at some point over the past few months!!’ so I don’t think there’s too much to worry about.
